The SMART PFM 107 continuously measures oil and particulates using Rivertrace’s proprietary photo-optical measuring cell. By combining advanced optical algorithms with controlled light intensity, the system accurately distinguishes oil, gas/air bubbles, and solid particulates within the 1–500 micron range.

The system uses microscopy-based, oil-type-independent measurement and complies fully with IMO MEPC.107(49). A 7″ full-colour touchscreen displays live oil concentration, pressure, temperature, alarms, and a camera view of contaminants in the sample.

To support inspections, the SMART PFM 107 stores oil concentration data, alarms, and fault logs, which can be downloaded via LAN or USB. In addition, fully automatic optical cell cleaning ensures consistent accuracy without manual intervention.
